We often times forget the "proper" usage of how to use are utensils. "Where does the fish spoon go? What is a salad fork?" Although in today's society of couch potatoes and thousand dollar home entertainment systems, what use to be "proper" etiquette has vastly changed from the days of mom and pops. No longer are families sitting in front of each other at the diner table, but now sitting next to each other face to face with the tube.

What did you do today? Well, if the high point of your Sunday involved eating a hungry man TV dinner and watching cartoons in front of the tube, then the new Lazy Sunday Pants should fit perfectly for the family. The Spanish studio Mitemite introduces its latest Unnecessary Object. The design features a handy pocket for your TV remote and a removable lap tablecloth that easily accommodates your average microwave cuisine. Unfortunately for the lazy, these pants are only concepts at the moment.

I'm guilty of surviving on lean cuisine alone so I guess I can relate. Perhaps I'll have to bring this creation to life.
Those are actually pretty neat! lol
I gotta admit- my family was one of those families that evolved into the 'sit in front of the TV on the couch' for meals kinda household.
And even when I'm living on my own, I never once have used my dining table at my apartment. I just eat at my computer desk on the small area between the edge of the desk and my laptop. Or sadly.. even go as far as sitting on the floor and using my chair as a table if the plate is too big, haha!
but those pants sure are nifty ;)!

Those are some great insights on modern american culture. I am also the kind of person who will eat many kinds of microwaved meals such as ramen in a bowl. As if it being in a cup wasn't easy enough! Great post.
As we speak, I am eating Ramen noodles and I'm pretty sure there is a Lean Cuisine or two in my freezer. I think this post was a clever way to comment on how the values of Americans have changed over the years. These days, it is more important to multi-task: You can consume an adequate amount of food while simultaneously making sure you don't miss a second of Grey's Anatomy (or Lost, or Desperate Housewives, or Gossip Girl, etc.) Back in the day, the point of dinnertime was to spend time with the family and catch up on things. For some reason, that doesn't seem to matter so much anymore. While I think you could probably make a killing selling these pants, it's kind of sad that anyone would ever truly need them :)
Liz,
Spot on! I couldn't agree more! Thanks for the comment.
